To build the perfect sprint team, first you’re going to need a Danny Ocean: someone with authority to make decisions. That person is the Decider, a role so important we went ahead and capitalized it. The Decider is the official decision-maker for the project.

These three roles constitute the scrum team; their tendency to pull in three different directions—profit, mastery and the greater good—is what generates the healthy conflict and tension required to reach previously unimagined levels of innovation and creativity, and allows scrum teams to deliver true value.

Projects are synchronized around ONE synchronizer (resource skill or type of work).

Create an organizational system whose foundation is managers-as-teachers who apply and teach lean thinking, manage to improve, promote stop-and-fix, and who practice Go See. Add the two pillars of respect for people and continuous challenge-the-status-quo improvement mindset.
