We put such pressure on ourselves to know exactly who we are and what we want in every moment; it’s okay for some things to be fuzzy. People who identify with having “so many issues” are often just people who don’t have immediate or perfect closure on the ever-evolving experience of being human.
Can we re-frame this in terms of the customer’s problem?
What’s the soonest we could get this done?
What would you need to get this done tomorrow instead of next week?
What would we need to do to get twice as many customers? Ten times as many customers?
How does this relate to our goal? Is this the most important thing we can do for our goal?

One of the most intelligent case studies in design is the Chinese tea cup. They’re made without handles simply because if it’s too hot to touch, it’s too hot to drink.
