I like the term ârescuing homes.â Itâs an acknowledgment of what is already there instead of demolishing and replacing. The character of streets and towns is important to me. (Which is exactly what the neighbor says later in the episode, people tear down a house, stock two new houses there, and you lose character.)

Personally, I have started to use it more regularly again and others have, too. RSS is a great way to follow the people whose posts, ideas, and opinions matter to you.

I love the way Kym Petrie describes getting into the creative space to restore a house. She describes it as âbeing there, lost in that space.â That triggers something for me. I do the same thing in places. Itâs like your letting your mind view itâs past and maybe even its future. What was it like to live there? Can you feel that snapshot of time?
