Web3—Building habit-forming communities

First and foremost, community is a big piece of web3. In web3, a community is often established before a product, and products often come out of the community.  To start building this community creators often share a roadmap, which is a promise of what the community can expect.  

In aligning incentives between leaders (core creators and team) of a community and its members, smart contracts and token economics will not only be able to govern access to utility, but also incentivize all stakeholders in developing and co-creating additional utility.

Web 3 introduces a powerful new tool for bootstrapping networks: token incentives.The basic idea is: early on during the bootstrapping phase when network effects haven’t kicked in, provide users with financial utility via token rewards to make up for the lack of native utility.
