The challenge we’ll have in the West is understanding whether this is accelerating offshoring and farming out white collar work to the lowest cost bidder. Will DAOs worsen the poor labor dynamics that already plague other marketplace providers in the gig economy?

DAOs enable novel ways in which groups of people can come together, set shared goals, and collaborate with each other to achieve them using well-aligned incentives.

DAOs present an alternative organizational structure that tries to align incentives for the long-term among a variety of stakeholders. The relationship changes from creator and consumer to everyone as co-creators. Creative organizations begin to look more like flat peer-to-peer networks as opposed to hierarchies.
