History isn’t the study of the past; it is the study of change. History teaches us what remains the same, what changes, and how things change.
I propose that we replace the primacy of the linear history of nations with a circulatory, interactive and transformative history.
History knows three things: 1) what’s been photographed, 2) what someone wrote down or recorded, and 3) the words spoken by people whom historians and journalists wanted to interview and who agreed to be interviewed.
