What happens to me when I give up hope? Nothing. At least nothing in any physical or immediate way. At a karmic level, who knows? But to me right now? Very little. One of the trickiest aspects of the climate crisis is exactly this: Many of us — at least for now — actually do have the privilege of losing hope.
