Yeah I tend to agree — no shade to Avi as I'm always pro experimenting and trying things out, but I think I prefer a world where AI feels more like a tool that supports (e.g. "bicycle for the mind") than an active entity that lives (e.g. "personal assistant or friend")

My theory about these things is to make a language which panders not to the computers but to the humans, and try to make a language where the language is, as much as possible, able to take what the humans think of and convert it into some form that the computers can understand.
