
Notes on scale + quality

It takes enormous discipline to NOT try to scale something that's working.
But some things just don't scale -- and trying to do so can destroy the golden goose in the process.
Many entrepreneurially minded people can't help themselves from trying.

Notes on scale + quality
chasing scale strips you of some humanity. It puts your head too high up in the clouds. It removes you from what happens in the real world with real people. Pursuing something that can’t scale does the exact opposite: it grounds you. It’s a comforting and healing next act.
