Impromptu: Amplifying Our Humanity Through AI

LLMs are surely not going to replace college or magazines or middle managers. But they do offer those and other domains a new instrument—that’s really the right word for it—with which to play with an unfathomable quantity of textual material.

Note that this is different from whether the GPT3-generated text is humanlike (which it often is) and correct (which is also roughly is). But when we read something we usually don't want to be told what we already know: we want to be exposed to novelty and GPT3 does a mediocre job at this.
