DeafSpace, and the Cowell Hospital dorm, and Saling House—they were each built from an urgent sense that being at home might be experienced in an expanded and altered form of body and well-being, and from gathering the will and assistance of others to see a new design realized.

When we create safe spaces, time away from screens, ‘Yes, and’ spaces, working with other people over tasks that facilitate connection and craft a narrative that offers a hopeful take on the future, the world can start to come back into focus.
