“Write down for the coming generation what the LORD has done, so that people not yet born will praise him.”11 You owe it to future generations to preserve the testimony of how God helped you fulfill his purposes on earth. It is a witness that will continue to speak long after you’re in heaven.

If any one of the historical forms in which it has expressed itself grows out of date, as its educational process is completed, it is not sufficient simply to distil out the idea inherent in that form of Christianity. Instead, the Christian faith which once ‘conquered the world’ must also learn to conquer its own forms when they have become worldly

There are more Christians on earth right now than ever before. Paul was right: “This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is changing lives everywhere, just as it changed yours.”9

We cannot be truly productive unless all our activity stems from love for God and the acknowledgment that he is sovereign over all our plans.
