at least on some level, to actually feel separate, you must also actually feel connected, for how can you be separate from something that you are not already connected to? And how can you connect to something that you are not already separate from?

It was like something that had been foretold, something out of Aesop, both metaphorical and hysterical, like everything, I guess.

Place your warm hand on your cool belly. Does your belly feel the warm or does your hand feel the cool? This, I think, is one of the fundamental mysteries.

You see, I have always found it difficult to understand that in fact one can only be oneself. Who else could you be? Changeability and hypocrisy and performance are parts of who we are. And what is empirical reality, anyway?
