There is a variation of this option that is healthier, although it is still dictated by the rigid pattern. In this variation, both spouses do the rigid pattern, but their quest to improve themselves, each other, and the relationship leads both of them to do enough inner work to eventually “break” the pattern and become capable of presence.
As you come into relationship with your parts, they are encouraged to separate from Self, allowing Self to lead and make decisions that embody the essential qualities of Self: compassion, confidence, clarity, courage, creativity, calm, curiosity, and connectedness. These qualities are often called the eight Cs,
