Abandon the idea that you are ever going to finish. Lose track of the 400 pages and write just one page for each day, it helps. Then when it gets finished, you are always surprised.
Write freely and as rapidly as possible and throw the whole thing on paper. Never correct or rewrite until the whole thing is down.
So much of the web now is sanitized, copy-cat, and a bit scared. I think we are nostalgic for the early internet in part because anyone could curate it, and it was full of wonderful human flaws as a result.
If you don’t have a good handle on what you want, or even worse, you don’t actually consult it, you could make decisions which are not really in your interests.
