The DRO command is available only in P, A, S, M, and Movie modes. For still pictures, you can shoot in RAW, JPEG, or both. When you open RAW files in most post-processing software, you cannot see the effects of DRO. When you record images in [RAW & JPEG], you can see the DRO effects in the JPEG file, but not the RAW file.

Sony offers them for the a7 II at a nominal cost. We purchased the semihard plastic model. It is sticky, and you apply it directly to the monitor. The adhesive is not a permanent bond, so if the protector gets scratched, you can replace it. Another nice feature of the protector is that it resists picking up oil from your fingertips.

Lots of photographers find the $40 Fotodiox adapters to be perfectly serviceable for most lenses. The more expensive Novoflex, Rayqual, and Voigtländer adapters (each approximately $200) have a better fit and finish.
