The best examples of chenin blanc are stunningly complex wines with a flavor of apples and honey (although not necessarily honey’s sweetness). They are shimmering with acidity, minerally, and long-lived.

here are the nine attributes that I believe matter most in determining whether a wine is great: distinctiveness, balance, precision, complexity, beyond fruitness, length, choreography, connectedness, and the ability to evoke an emotional response.
