In honor of Election Day, here are some moments from when Perry and I were in Madrid. No matter what happens in the US, remember that the world is big and beautiful. Cast your vote and let it go. Stop demonizing each other, you’re just serving the greater machine. In the words of Neil Kramer, “Hate what is evil. Don’t bother hating who has fallen under its spell. Not your concern to judge, you can never know. Love them by praying for mercy wisdom, healing, and honesty to be brought into their heart.” Imagine if we actually all did that - authentically loved and prayed for our “enemies”? Imagine if we actually cared more about seeking to understand each other rather than being avoidant and stubborn in our underdeveloped beliefs?… I certainly don’t have all the answers, but this collective mental breakdown ain’t it. Confusion is the devil. Creativity thrives on the endless combination of all things. Stay open to learning, get out of your echo chamber, find adventure in the madness, and GET GOING!
