Most crypto assets are highly correlated and move together, and if you’re holding anything besides the big foundational coins, it should be based on some belief that its tokenomics and incentives will result in it outperforming the base currencies it's built on.

Aave’s treasury contains an overweight AAVE position that provides exposure to the future success and upside in the token price. However, the associated volatility and downside risks are not desirable. As such, Aave is exploring ways to reduce exposure to any meaningful deterioration in market conditions. 

We are in the earliest innings in this space, but I’m now more bullish on crypto than ever before because it is both an inflationary hedge and a way to empower new forms of ownership in a world that is trending towards everything becoming an investible asset.
