Dune Imperium: Uprising

Like all deck builders, trashing is a valid strategy. It tends to be more powerful the longer the game goes on.

I recently played a 6-player game in which one Atreides player ended up trashing 5 of his original 10 starting cards.

A friend of mine has won the last few games we’ve played (possibly even every game!) by aggressively trashing his hand until he has very effective hand that he draws pretty much every turn. Is this the out and out best strategy - or is it just something we need to think about copying or countering?
