It’s true, the album is out. It is for you now, not me. My goals: To be a tiny burst of light in the darkness For you to be less on your device For fathers to spend less time on YouTube, and more time painting And to celebrate my friends who made this possible: + Andrew Stonestreet for producing and pulling my head out of my @stone.street + Matthew Holmes for playing the prettiest bass @bepo.the.depot + Daniel Rossi for shredding on drums @daniel.k.rossi + Caleigh Drane for making me lose breath on cello @caleighcello + Bill Marsh for making me wish I could play guitar like he does @wmarshmusic + And dear Denzel Mendoza for always holding it down on trombone @illegal__son Last but not least: Karl Kling for being the greatest engineer and mixing wizard of my dreams @karlkling And dear Lily for her magic backup vocals on Spit in the Sink @lilysheers And Soli + Eliot for inspiring me from open mics and beyond, singing on Swoop @gonzolain And Timothy for mastering, which is such a weird art in itself @timothy_stollenwerk Evan, for being the only person on earth with a camera I trust, along with Kay and Ashi whose dancing makes me feel alight @evanbenallyatwood @kay.rows @ashidanca I wouldn’t be here without the trust of @mamabirdrc + @groundcontroltouring + @susiemakesart … as this career has always been an accident and they continue humor me. …. You made it this far. Thank you kind stranger for believing in the power of artistry. I am not a fan of marketing, being on our phone, promoting brands of any kind. Please let us throw out phones into the ocean, and return to trusting strangers, and believing that nothing is out to get you. We all deserve healing. Kindness. Silence. Reflection. And the culture at large feels like an antithesis of this. Please continue making weird art and resisting the darkness. Thx you. Love, Hh
