We used Coordinape to pay our DAO. Here’s what we found

-At the end of the season, her GIVE tokens are automatically converted to GET tokens.

-At the end of the season, Coordinape will show how many tokens each person has received. These are then averaged out as a percentage of the available budget.

-The DAO’s seasonal budget is 25,000 USDC.

A poor Coordinape setup could mean contributors are incentivised to reward their friends and the most active Discord users, not those who actually provided meaningful value.

So once the voting period has ended, the DAO sends Sophie 1,250 USDC for her contributions during that season.

The most frequent piece of feedback was that our members weren’t sure whether they were just supposed to reward the people they had worked with, or whether they should also reward those they saw adding value in other parts of our DAO.

-Ask your contributors to allocate their tokens proportional to the value they think others brought to your DAO.

Sophie’s 50 GET Tokens are 5% of the available 1,000 GET tokens, so she is sent 5% of the DAO’s total budget (5% of 25,000 USDC = 1,250 USDC.)
