If you feel restless in the here and now, or you feel ill at ease, you need to ask yourself: “What am I longing for?” “What am I searching for?” “What am I waiting for?”
When we know that we are doing our best on the path of relieving suffering, it is possible to be at peace every step along the way.
When we recognize and accept our difficult feelings and emotions, we begin to feel more at peace.
When fear, craving, or desire comes up, we need to be able to recognize it with mindfulness and smile to it with compassion. “Hello, fear; hello, craving. Hello, little child; hello, ancestors.”
