At the risk of sounding a bit woo, I’ve always believed my life was mapped out. And because of that, I’m willing to let things unfold rather than always push for what I think should be happening.

You have to back yourself. If you’re not backing yourself, then you don’t really believe what you’re trying to do is possible. And if you don’t believe something’s possible, what’s going to get you through the hard times (i.e. The Dip)?
determination and curiosity. Not sure where I was going with the venture, I was looking forward to seeing how things played out. I was determined it would go somewhere. But I got the feeling those close to me thought it was another one of ‘Megan’s harebrained schemes’.
When you’re the first person to do something, there’s no blueprint. You have to make things up as you go along.
For this reason, I get those I mentor to write lists of what they want to attract into their lives or businesses. I tell them to be as specific as they can without limiting the outcome.
For all the success of the cream, at this early stage it was still just a fun project rather than a serious business enterprise.
I’d love to say I managed to keep the personal turmoil out of my professional life. But few people have the ability to compartmentalise, and I’m definitely not one of them.
