but I think the real reason is that small mistakes tend to be revealed to me before they become big mistakes. And I make sure I tune in to them because small mistakes are much easier to recover from or pivot around.
At the risk of sounding a bit woo, I’ve always believed my life was mapped out. And because of that, I’m willing to let things unfold rather than always push for what I think should be happening.
For all the success of the cream, at this early stage it was still just a fun project rather than a serious business enterprise.
The marketing basics I believe will never let you down are: Having a great product. Treating your customers well and listening to what they say. (Happy customers are your best sales force.) Providing authentic and valuable education.
In any major transition, you’ve got to find the support you need to help you get through it. It might be talking to a therapist, or having a mentor or business coach. It might be finding a networking or mastermind group. It might be using therapies like meditation, Kinesiology or Bowen therapy. It might be some or even all of these.
When I saw the name Sodashi, it leapt off the page at me. I was so excited to see it meant totality, wholeness, purity and radiance—exactly what I wanted Sodashi to be, and exactly what I wanted the products to do for the skin.
