On FIRE: I realized that I actually don’t want to retire early. What I’m more interested in is to retire often.

Algorithms, by their very nature, assume and assure that you would like your future to be like your past.

Writing tip: The belief that the 1st draft must be good makes working on it an intimidating prospect that often leads to paralysis. So let the 1st draft be junk; it should be purely about getting from start to finish, nothing more. You really write the piece when you rewrite it.

The below quote by William S. Burroughs is only becoming more relevant with time:

pro-tip: you can get through most conversations by just saying "whoa" at the right interval
