Before launching each experiment, make the intention to give up past conditioning. I usually start with this adage from A Course in Miracles: “Open your mind and clear it of all thoughts that would deceive.”
As it is now, we devote all our time and attention (our consciousness, if you will) to things we do not want. But it’s nothing more than a bad habit. And like any bad habit, it can be changed with conscious and deliberate effort.
The only thing you need do is devote your mind only to things you want.
