The full kit is a list that specifies what is needed to begin a phase of a project. If all of the necessary items are not present and signed off by the right people, then the project is frozen.
Critical chain or critical path start date. Using the calendar, work backward (earlier in time) considering the project buffer, critical tasks, and any other gaps expected in execution.
We strongly recommend providing task updates at the end of each workday.
Repeat Step 2.4 until you have reached a task that could be started today, if the project go-ahead was given.
Assign resources to tasks, not tasks to resources. Put as many resources as practical on a task to ensure the project task is completed as quickly as possible.
Review task progress daily.
You can certainly become more sophisticated with the data collected. For example, you could collect not just the number of times you are waiting for a resource, but also how long the wait was. Then you could act on the resource that you are waiting for the longest, rather than the one you wait for most often.
